Harvested in 2009 this is a organic wild grade Kalimantan This Aloeswood/Oud/Agarwood/Kyara/Eaglewood has been harvested sustainably and collected from the dense jungle of Kalimantan in the Indonesian Borneo regions. Aloeswood here is well known to have great scents.
This oud/agarwood is a kyara type has a high resin content. Perfect for incense burning on charcoal or any incense burner especially on a Shoyeido Mica Plate.
The scent notes are a typical Borneo sweet, woody, honey dew, and hint of floral notes. One tends to get a slight whiff of wild almonds every now and then. Almost like a a caramel like resin this oud/agarwood/gaharu/kyara burns beautifully on a medium to low heat charcoal. But I personally prefer the shoyeido plate as one can get the full undiluted majesty of this wild beauty.
