The scent of this natural incense is calming and alluring. One has to experience this oud bakhoor to appreciate its complexity. This incense is used by Middle Eastern royalty and has also been used in places of worship. The best way I can describe the scent profiles in this is it starts off with sweet-spicy saffron and gradually marries into a dark woody leathery scent of agarwood and rose otto. This agarwood, blended with essential oils promotes calm and relaxation. A true luxury scent, perfect for fragrance homes and for meditation.
For best results:
Place a small piece of the Royal Burma on a hot mica plate or a medium heat electric incense bakhoor burner.
This agarwood works well on a charcoal that has burnt out the top layer to form ash. Place a piece on the ash of the top of the hot charcoal to allow it a slow and beautiful burn.

Unfortunately, upon opening it, I smelled it & it was very strong - it was perfumed!!!
Oud, especially Burmese, has its own beautiful scent - for me, this was ruined by the perfuming.
This purchase which I was happy to receive in a timely and very beautifully packaged way (which is Why I gave the second star) has actually been a huge let down which I can only regret purchasing.
BUT - it was my own fault for not reading the description and seeing it was “marinated” in a secret recipe…and this is why it gets a third star. It's my own fault for buying the wrong product. My thoughts are, Good quality oud does not need “help” and should never be moist or scented. Still, it was right there in the description and so it is my own fault.
